The Enhanced Nurse Compact Licensure Bill HB1482

Posted about 7 years ago by David Embrey

The Enhanced Nurse Compact bill has been sent by the Arkansas House Public Health Committee to the full House, If passed it will be sent to the Arkansas Senate Public Health Committee.   Please write your Representative and Senator and support HB1482,  This Compact has been enhanced to include better background checks for Nurses in states who join.  Which Arkansas already does. Several states did not join the current compact due to this lack of wording, which is now included in the Enhanced Compact.

The AAOHN and ASAOHN both support the Enhanced Nursing Compact Licensure.

Please support the Nurse Licensure Compact! The goal of the Nurse Licensure Compact is to improve patient care by allowing nurses to practice freely across state lines. The NLC allows a nurse to have one license, issued by the state of residence, with the ability to practice in other compact states both physically and via technology. Support the NLC! Support our nurses and patients by joining the 21st century of health care! #NLC #nursecompact
